Draw with a cause: Louie's Little Picassos Project

One of our goals this year at Louie's Trust is to participate in sporting fundraising events such as The Great North Run, Sunderland 10k, and the Yorkshire 3 Peaks. We plan to create a t-shirt for our volunteers to wear, promoting awareness of our cause and fostering a sense of unity. Involving our community in everything we do is one of our main values. To this end, we've launched a drawing competition for children, offering them a chance to have their artwork displayed on the back of our running t-shirts.

We've announced the competition on our social media platforms and reached out to Busy Bees in Ryhope—the nursery our son Louie attended—as well as the two hospitals we currently support: The Great North Children's Hospital and Sunderland Royal. The competition is open to children of all ages, and we encourage every child to participate and express their creativity. This initiative not only provides a fun activity for parents and their children but also instills a sense of achievement in the young participants, showing them that their fun activities can help others in need.

How to Join:

  • Download and print our drawing competition template from https://www.louiestrust.org/tshirt-entry.
  • Get creative with crayons, markers, or any other favorite tool.
  • Submit your artwork by 2nd March 2024, by posting your drawing as a comment on our Facebook post or, if you'd prefer you can send it by Facebook message to our page. OR, If you wish to remain completely anonymous, you can also email your drawing entry at hey@louiestrust.org.

The trustees of Louie's Trust will select three winners and some honourable mentions. These will be featured on our social media and website.

We are thrilled with the response so far and truly appreciate the time, love, and effort that have gone into the submissions. Many entries are incredibly touching and showcase the remarkable creativity of children. We look forward to receiving more entries before the competition closes on 2nd March 2024, giving our directors a challenging but rewarding task in selecting the winners.

Thank you for supporting Louie's Trust and the families we aim to help. Every stroke, every colour, brings us closer to our goal.
