Welcome to The Great North Run – Where Every Step Makes a Difference!

About the Event:

The most prestigious fundraising event in the area. The Great North Run is not just as a race against the clock, but an amazing way to raise money and awareness of charities. Join us and the 60,000 others taking to the 13.1 mile route from Newcastle to South Shields. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

How to register:

Visit the below website, click the entry link and complete the ballot registration form to enter. You will be asked to submit payment details for the entry fee and for any optional merchandise you may wish to purchase. You will need to authorise this payment, if requested by your bank, to complete your entry however no funds will be removed from your account unless you are successful in the ballot draw that will take place on or around the time the ballot closes.

Fundraising Goals:

Our collective efforts can bring about remarkable change. Set a personal fundraising goal and let your friends, family, and colleagues know the impact they can make by supporting your run.

  • Share your journey on social media! Use our event hashtag and inspire others to join in the cause.

  • We will be introducing running t-shirts to our shop, or better yet, get one for free when you raise over £50.00! 🎽🏅

Once you’ve got your goody bag and medal around your neck, it’s time to relax – so pose by that photo wall, ring that AJ Bell bell and head for the Après Run Zone. We will be waiting for our aspiring athletes to take a group photo for the memory books!

I would like to help with this event, how can I get in touch?

Tickets
Where are my tickets?

After purchasing tickets for one of our events, you'll receive an email with your order confirmation along with a second separate email which is your entry ticket, please keep this safe incase you are required to present it.

How do I buy tickets for multiple people?

When buying tickets for a group, use the quantity selector to add as many additional tickets as required. All tickets will be registered under the purchaser's name.

I can no longer attend, what do I do?

We're sorry to hear your plans have changed; we get it, life happens! If you can't make it, drop us a message on hey@louiestrust.org or simply reply to your order confirmation email. The sooner, the better, so we can free up your ticket for someone else. Notify us more than 24 hours in advance of the event starting, and we'll gladly refund the full amount, minus transaction fees (or we'll lose money, sorry!) of your ticket.

Fundraising
How can I start fundraising?

There are many ways you can start fundraising for us. Every event will have a unique online fundraiser button, which allows you to fundraiser for a particular event, this will provide you with a link to share everywhere, such as on social media. We also provide offline, printable sponsor sheets/resources for in person cash donations, which is available on all events.

We can provide promotional materials such as roller banners, leaflets, table tents and change collectors to be purchased/borrowed for fundraising events. If you require a large quantity of items for a big event, please get in touch with us.

Is there a minimun amount to start a fundraiser?

Not at all! There is never any minimum or charges for starting a fundraiser. You can create and setup a fundraiser for all sized events.
