In 2023, after conducting a poll among their employees, Taylor Wimpey North East selected Louie’s Trust as their charity sponsor, and we’re thrilled to have them on board until December 2025. From the very beginning, their support has gone far beyond donations. Their team has thrown themselves into collecting toiletries and snacks for our Parent Packs, donating books and toys to Sunderland Royal Hospital and the Great North Children’s Hospital, and rallying behind our Christmas appeal by bringing gifts for children spending the festive season in hospital. They also backed our annual Games Night at Prego Sunderland, showing how much they value being part of our story.

In 2024, Taylor Wimpey launched their very first Taylor Wimpey Challenge, raising £842.02, while continuing to donate essential items and champion our work within their workplace and community. What really shines through is not just the money raised, but the genuine compassion their team members bring to everything they do.

By 2025, the partnership had grown even stronger. Their first-ever Charity Ball raised an incredible £10,782.00, the Taylor Wimpey Challenge returned with £2,769.00, and two colleagues took on the Great North Run, raising £825.00 so far. But what matters most is the heart behind these efforts. The team has shown us time and again that they are not only committed fundraisers but also people who truly believe in Louie’s Trust’s mission. Many of them have shared their own personal experiences, drawing a powerful connection to Louie’s story and strengthening the bond we share.

Altogether, their efforts have raised over £16,704.50 but the true value of this partnership cannot be measured in numbers alone. Thanks to the introduction from Louie’s Godmother, Georgia, we’ve met so many kind and thoughtful people who care deeply about helping families like ours. Working alongside Taylor Wimpey North East reminds us that what we’re building isn’t just fundraising totals. It’s a community of people who care, who understand, and who want to help change the story for others.
