Celebrating an Incredible Night: Taylor Wimpey North East Charity Ball

In May, we had the incredible honour of being the chosen charity for the Taylor Wimpey North East Charity Ball, held at the beautiful Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf & Spa. The evening brought together Taylor Wimpey’s fantastic partners and contractors for a night of celebration, fundraising and shared purpose, all in support of Louie’s Trust.

Thanks to everyone involved, an incredible £10,530.00 was raised. This generosity will make a meaningful difference to the children and families we support through hospital stays and difficult times.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Rachel Partridge, Caitlin Willis, and Sam Ruddick from Taylor Wimpey’s events and charity committee, who went above and beyond to plan and host the evening. From setting up the ballroom to organising raffles, sharing our story and welcoming guests, their care and commitment shone through every detail. We are so grateful for their ongoing support.

In preparation for the ball, we ordered some roller banners to help showcase our work. Unfortunately, the first delivery arrived printed upside down! Thankfully, Design Xpress came to the rescue. Nick and Carl Gerry not only responded quickly and professionally, but kindly reprinted the banners free of charge after learning about our cause. We are incredibly grateful for their generosity and would highly recommend their services – they truly went above and beyond.

A special thank you also goes to Alfie Joey, who hosted the evening with warmth, humour, and encouragement. Alfie’s support helped calm our nerves ahead of our first ever live presentation in front of over 200 people. He also kindly donated a beautiful live ink painting of Sycamore Gap, which raised an amazing £1,800.00 in raffle prizes.

To every contractor, partner and guest who attended the evening – thank you. Your generosity and interest in Louie’s Trust means more than words can express. It’s partnerships like these that allow us to continue providing practical and emotional support to families when they need it most.

We’d also like to thank the following organisations for their support on the night:
Watsons, Pegasus Group, P+HS, Queensberry, Lumsden & Carroll Civil Engineering, Wearmouth Construction and Plant Ltd, Biodiverse Consulting Ltd, John Flowers, Symphony, Lorne Stewart, Lichfields UK, DPH Construction, Whitehouse Farm, Applebridge, JD Winter, Walker Morris, Gateleys, Alconex, Tees Valley, RS Plant, TA Joinery and Bradley Hall.

Together, we’re making a difference – and we can’t wait to see what else we can achieve in 2025 and beyond.
